Regarding a theft from a motor at Chestnut Street, a response has been received by a resident from Swale Police saying;

We have received a report of a vehicle parked upon Chestnut Street having been targeted by criminals. The incident appears to have occurred between 10th June and 12th June. The vehicle had damage caused to a window to gain entry and both the bonnet and number plates were stolen. This is not by any means a common occurrence but we would ask residents in the area when passing through to be mindful of any suspicious activity surrounding parked vehicles on this road. If you should see anything out of the ordinary please call 999 or report online if you deem the matter not to be urgent.

Chestnut Street continues to be a route which is used frequently by Local Policing patrols and has been highlighted to our Roads Policing Unit also. Our newly established team of Beat PCs have been made aware for their attention.
