Installation of electricity cables along Cryalls Lane, Sittingbourne ME10 1YF U

Power Networks owns and maintains the electricity network delivering power to your area. We will shortly be starting a project to remove the overhead lines in your local area, which will be replaced with new underground cables.

In partnership with our contractor, OCU Group, we will start the installation of new underground ducts for electricity cables along Cryalls Lane, heading towards our substation after the junction of Brisbane Avenue. This work is scheduled to commence on 28 April and is expected to be completed by 27 May.

We will be excavating short trenches to lay pipework (ducts), then returning to open excavations at intervals along the route to pull through and connect the cables. The last phase of our project will involve removing the overhead lines. We will reach out to you with the specific dates for this stage in the near future.

To work safely, we will need to implement a full road closure of Cryalls Lane, with a diversion along Wises Lane and London Road, this will enable us to progress safely along the route. We thank you for your cooperation, which will ensure we complete the work as quickly as possible. Please refer to the map on the back of this letter for the exact location of the closur

Access to properties will be maintained throughout our work when safe to do so. Please be aware that the team will need to place down plates to allow access to houses, so it is advisable to add extra travel time. There will be no change to collection days for local refuse services.

We will be working from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday and Saturdays 8am to 6pm.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will make every effort to minimise the impact on your neighbourhood. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our customer care team on 0800 028 4587 Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5pm, or [email protected].
