Borden is an extensive parish, the village being situated about one-and-a-half miles in a westerly direction from the town of Sittingbourne. The industries carried on in the parish are agricultural, the crops being principally fruit, hops and corn. The soil is mould and peat, with chalk and gravel subsoil.

Borden Parish Council is made up of 13 elected councillors representing an electorate of 2,066.

There are 1053 households within the parish.

The Parish Council meet monthly on the third Thursday of the month at the Pavilion, Wises Lane at 7pm. 

***Please note that the meeting on 19th January 2023, will be held at the Parish Hall, Barrow Room on School Lane***



Salt bins can be used by anyone, tell KCC Highways when they are empty and they should fill them up.
